Over 30 percent of Botswana lacks access to safe water, which equals around 600 000 people. In Mosu alone, around 10 percent of the population uses unsafe sources of water, including unprotected wells, rivers, lakes, ponds, or springs. These water sources contain both visible contaminants and invisible bacteria that cause diseases. Diarrhea is one of the most common effects of drinking contaminated water, and it is especially deadly for children under the age of five, as their immune systems are not fully developed. In fact, every two minutes, a child under five dies as a result of drinking contaminated water.

The good news is that this is entirely preventable! When you give, you provide safe water for children in Mosu. You help them live past their fifth birthday and dream of a bright future!
